I’m Alive!

im-alive

Wow, over six months since I last blogged, I think that’s a record! Wait, no, scratch that – I’ve done worse.

So what have I been up to in the past couple of months? I finished writing my book, for one. It was released on June 15, 2010 so if you’re looking for some Twilight debates to spice up your summer, you’re in luck. Get yourself a copy of Bella Should Have Dumped Edward here. You know you want to. Secondly, school is out for summer and I’m just watching my lovely vacation fly by. Goodbye June! Soon, that’ll be July. Yikes! Better get working on my summer reading projects…

I just returned from a six day trip in California last week. While I was there, I attended the world premiere of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse. Explaining that adventure will take an entire blog post so let me just tell you that it was beyond AMAZING. The black carpet with the Eclipse logo was definitely a plus :)

I will try to post short little blog posts every now and then so I don’t completely neglect this site. Until then, have a happy Fourth of July!

Nightlight: The Twilight Parody

nightlight-the-twilight-parody

Check out what my Twi-hard friend got me for Christmas… Do I even need to explain myself? Apparently it’s a Twilight Saga parody from The Harvard Lampoon. I was flipping through it earlier today and it looks like a whole book of nerdy Twilight references, can’t wait to read it!

About three things I was absolutely certain. First, Edwart was most likely my soul mate, maybe. Second, there was a vampire part of him–which I assumed was wildly out of his control–that wanted me dead. And third, I unconditionally, irrevocably, impenetrably, heterogeneously, gynecologically, and disreputably wished he had kissed me.

And thus Belle Goose falls in love with the mysterious and sparkly Edwart Mullen in the Harvard Lampoon’s hilarious send-up of Twilight.

Pale and klutzy, Belle arrives in Switchblade, Oregon looking for adventure, or at least an undead classmate. She soon discovers Edwart, a super-hot computer nerd with zero interest in girls. After witnessing a number of strange events–Edwart leaves his tater tots untouched at lunch! Edwart saves her from a flying snowball!–Belle has a dramatic revelation: Edwart is a vampire. But how can she convince Edwart to bite her and transform her into his eternal bride, especially when he seems to find girls so repulsive?

Complete with romance, danger, insufficient parental guardianship, creepy stalker-like behavior, and a vampire prom, Nightlight is the uproarious tale of a vampire-obsessed girl, looking for love in all the wrong places.
